On Saturday 6th August Bowburn Care Centre held their summer fayre, everybody gathered in the garden as the sun was shining down on us. There was a tombola, raffle, cake stall, jewellery stall & refreshments. The kids – big and small thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castle, hook a duck and coconut shy games. Phil Corrigan sang to the crowds and had people singing along and dancing to Elvis songs and sixties hits. The raffle was drawn at the end of the fayre and Sheila Raine one of our carers won 1st prize of a boozy hamper. We raised £551 on the day to go towards the residents comfort fund. A great crowd of residents, staff, families and locals from Bowburn all enjoyed a wonderful family day.
