CARE HOME OVERVIEW

The Maple Care Home, Stockton-On-Tees, is a purpose-built 62-bed home in this lovely market town within Co. Durham. Here in our welcoming home, we care for residents with residential care needs. Our experienced and compassionate team are always on hand to ensure that we provide professional and experienced 24-hour support.

Each resident is cared for under their individual care plan so that the care delivered is tailored to each person. Alongside this, we understand that many residents’ needs fluctuate, and we also have the flexibility, time, and staff to be able to accommodate changing needs. Our continuity of care is particularly important to us, enabling us to care for residents, as their needs change over time.

All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, with further communal bathrooms, for baths and showers. These are all equipped with the latest facilities to enable those with differing care needs to enjoy their ablutions.

Each floor enjoys communal areas, where residents can gather to socialise and join in with regular activities. We have separate dining areas on each floor so that our residents can regularly enjoy home-cooked meals, though we will always serve meals to our residents in their rooms if they prefer.

Residents can enjoy time in the gardens, which overlook the lovely extensive parkland that gives us our charming views and beautiful trees. We are here to make every day full of peaceful moments and enjoyable activities for all of our residents.

OUR QUALITY OF CARE

At St Philips Care we give people a sense of place, and somewhere they really love to live, making each of our caring homes fun, friendly, and comfortable places to be for retirement living.

As a group of professional carers, we specialise in the health and well-being of older people from all walks of life and all ages, and take enormous pride in the high levels of care that we deliver.

Our homes offer a range of support for adult and elderly people, whether that is for residential, dementia, mental health, or respite care. We pride ourselves on our experienced, highly trained teams, which include carers, support staff, and registered nurses, and the group offers all of our teams the resources to meet our residents’ daily needs.

PERSONALISED CARE PLANS

St Philips Care focuses each and every dedicated care plan on the individual, taking into consideration their personal requirements and tastes.

We take time out to know and understand our residents even before they move in, not only by talking to them but also by including their family and friends during their stay to make sure that we have the best possible plan tailored to each individual.

We consider not only specialist care aspects but also personal interests, social life, working life, and companionships. Special consideration is given to their personal space and bedroom, their favourite meals and dinner choices, understanding, monitoring and developing a personal care plan and generally keeping good channels of communication with family and friends at all times.

REVIEWS

The staff at Alma McFadyen House treated my gran as if she were part of their family. The house always felt so homely. During a pandemic, the staff showed up every day with smiles on their faces and genius ideas to keep the residents entertained, included, and valued.

Natasha
Granddaughter of a resident at Alma McFayden

Over the past 6 months, Mum has settled well into her new setting. The staff are attentive and always willing to listen and help out where possible and I feel have a genuine care for all of the residents. On a personal level, it is lovely to see a hand on a shoulder or for a member of staff to be holding a resident’s hand offering comfort or reassurance.

Anne
Daughter of a resident at Pine Trees

My husband has been in Roxholm on three separate occasions for respite and he thoroughly enjoys his week there. The staff are very welcoming and friendly as soon as you enter the building and the bedrooms are always clean and comfortable. He says that the food is excellent and I can relax whilst he is there as I know that he is being very well cared for.

Susan
Wife of resident at Roxholm

Mam initially entered this care home for 4 weeks of respite due to her struggling to live independently. She has always been against ending up in a care home. She has settled in very quickly informing me that the staff are lovely and can’t do enough for her. She feels safe and well cared for. So much so that she has told her social worker that she wishes to stay rather than return home. Due to her own wish and problems living alone, she may get her wish.

David
Son of resident at Chilton

Finally! A care home that has provided my son with a safe, happy and beautiful home. What a delight this care home is. The staff are well trained, and their obvious job satisfaction is evident, always willing to keep and ensure their first priority are those they care for. The management takes every effort to ensure that a happy environment is essential. Thank you!

SJ
Mother of a resident at Highlands

For my first respite stay in a care home I chose Ravendale Hall; I wasn’t disappointed in my choice. The large country home standing in its extensive grounds was what appealed to me. I was warmly welcomed by friendly and happy, supportive carers. Daily entertainment was always on offer if you wanted to take part as many of the residents did. The food was extremely good and catered for a well-balanced diet. You were offered the choice of two lunchtime meals. My room was bright and spacious. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ravendale Hall due to happy and helpful staff along with the cleanliness. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
