CARE HOME OVERVIEW
Knowesouth Care Home is an impressive Country House close to the beautiful Scottish Borders in the town of Jedburgh. The house is surrounded by mature parklands and relaxing, colourful gardens. The facilities include a hairdresser, chiropodist, dentist, optician and pet therapy. The dedicated activities co-ordinator plans a fantastic schedule of activities and sessions for the residents to partake in and enjoy. The local area offers stunning scenery and beautiful sights, thanks to the Care Home’s close proximity to the Scottish countryside. Residents and their visitors can visit local attractions such as Jedburgh Abbey, Jedburgh Castle and Jail Museum, and the variety of garden centres and craft centres nearby. For those with a sweet tooth, Jedburgh Chocolate House is just down the road.

We are pleased to announce that our 9-bed specialist unit for higher residential care will be opening soon. Our experienced and professional higher residential care team will be providing care in our beautiful and traditional building, with modern facilities.

We take time out to know and understand our residents even before they move in, not only by talking to them but also by including their family and friends during their stay to make sure that we have the best possible plan tailored to each individual.
We consider not only care aspects but also personal interests, social life, working life, and companionships. Special consideration is given to their personal space and bedroom, their favourite meals and dinner choices, understanding, monitoring and developing a personal care plan and generally keeping good channels of communication with family and friends at all times.
