Local day centre visits
Nested in the pretty village of Kirksanton, the Care Centre provides residents with a warm, cosy environment to relax and enjoy life. Activities and games are a regular form of entertainment at Kirksanton Care Centre, ensuring residents are engaged, stimulated and socialising with others. The surrounding area of Millom, in Cumbria, offers a wide range of sightseeing opportunities, with South Lakes Safari Zoo just a short drive away. A visit to the zoo gives residents and their visitors a great chance to get out and about and see some new sights; it’s a truly memorable experience. For something a little less active, The Beggar’s Theatre, in the heart of the Millom community, puts on a fantastic show and has a great programme of varied performances.

OUR QUALITY OF CARE
At St Philips Care we give people a sense of place and somewhere they really love to live, making each of our homes fun, friendly and comfortable places to be.
As a group of professional carers, we specialize in the health and well being of people from all walks of life and all ages, and take enormous pride in the high levels of care that we deliver.
Our homes offer a range of support for adult and elderly people whether that is for residential, dementia, mental health or respite care. We pride ourselves on our experienced, highly trained teams which include carers, support staff, and registered nurses and the group offers all of our teams the resources to meet our residents’ daily needs.
PERSONALISED CARE PLANS
St Philips Care focuses each and every care plan on the individual, taking into consideration their personal requirements and tastes.
We take time out to know and understand our residents even before they move in, not only by talking to them but also by including their family and friends during their stay to make sure that we have the best possible plan tailored to each individual.
We consider not only care aspects but also personal interests, social life, working life, and companionships. Special consideration is given to their personal space and bedroom, their favourite meals and dinner choices, understanding, monitoring and developing a personal care plan and generally keeping good channels of communication with family and friends at all times.
