Care Home Overview
The former mining village of Chilton, in County Durham, is home to Chilton Care Centre. This purpose-built home offers residents a peaceful, cosy setting where they can relax, socialise and feel at home. The programme of regular activities gives Chilton residents the chance to try new hobbies and continue with existing interests, such as arts and crafts, games and flower arranging. Further facilities include a hairdresser, seated exercise sessions and a chiropodist. Just a short drive from Chilton are a number of wonderful attractions including Durham Botanic Garden, Durham Cathedral and the Museum and Heritage Centre. If residents and their visitors would prefer to sit back and relax while taking in the sights, hour-long river cruises are available along the charming River Wear.

OUR QUALITY OF CARE
At St Philips Care we give people a sense of place and somewhere they really love to live, making each of our homes fun, friendly and comfortable places to be.
As a group of professional carers, we specialize in the health and well being of people from all walks of life and all ages, and take enormous pride in the high levels of care that we deliver.
Our homes offer a range of support for adult and elderly people whether that is for residential, dementia, mental health or respite care. We pride ourselves on our experienced, highly trained teams which include carers, support staff, and registered nurses and the group offers all of our teams the resources to meet our residents’ daily needs.
PERSONALISED CARE PLANS
St Philips Care focuses each and every care plan on the individual, taking into consideration their personal requirements and tastes.
We take time out to know and understand our residents even before they move in, not only by talking to them but also by including their family and friends during their stay to make sure that we have the best possible plan tailored to each individual.
We consider not only care aspects but also personal interests, social life, working life, and companionships. Special consideration is given to their personal space and bedroom, their favourite meals and dinner choices, understanding, monitoring and developing a personal care plan and generally keeping good channels of communication with family and friends at all times.
