Belmont Care Centre
Belmont in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, is a purpose-built care centre and a real home from home for every resident. It is well-furnished, cosy, and residents are encouraged to bring their most cherished pieces of furniture, photographs and personal mementos with them to personalise their own rooms and give the spaces a homely feel. The Care Centre runs regular activities, and the most popular are fundraising events including strawberry teas and coffee mornings. The recent addition to Belmont Care Centre is the remembrance garden, lovingly planted by the Prince’s Trust. Not only does the Care Centre have beautiful gardens, but there are also vegetable plots, which residents are encouraged to tend. Further facilities include a chiropodist, hairdresser, church choir and seated exercise sessions. There are several local attractions, such as Stranraer Museum and Dunskey Castle.

OUR QUALITY OF CARE
At St Philips Care we give people a sense of place and somewhere they really love to live, making each of our homes fun, friendly and comfortable places to be.
As a group of professional carers, we specialize in the health and well being of people from all walks of life and all ages, and take enormous pride in the high levels of care that we deliver.
Our homes offer a range of support for adult and elderly people whether that is for residential, dementia, mental health or respite care. We pride ourselves on our experienced, highly trained teams which include carers, support staff, and registered nurses and the group offers all of our teams the resources to meet our residents’ daily needs.
PERSONALISED CARE PLANS
St Philips Care focuses each and every care plan on the individual, taking into consideration their personal requirements and tastes.
We take time out to know and understand our residents even before they move in, not only by talking to them but also by including their family and friends during their stay to make sure that we have the best possible plan tailored to each individual.
We consider not only care aspects but also personal interests, social life, working life, and companionships. Special consideration is given to their personal space and bedroom, their favourite meals and dinner choices, understanding, monitoring and developing a personal care plan and generally keeping good channels of communication with family and friends at all times.
