REVIEWS

The staff at Alma McFadyen House treated my gran as if she were part of their family. The house always felt so homely. During a pandemic, the staff showed up every day with smiles on their faces and genius ideas to keep the residents entertained, included, and valued.

Over the past 6 months, Mum has settled well into her new setting. The staff are attentive and always willing to listen and help out where possible and I feel have a genuine care for all of the residents. On a personal level, it is lovely to see a hand on a shoulder or for a member of staff to be holding a resident’s hand offering comfort or reassurance.

My husband has been in Roxholm on three separate occasions for respite and he thoroughly enjoys his week there. The staff are very welcoming and friendly as soon as you enter the building and the bedrooms are always clean and comfortable. He says that the food is excellent and I can relax whilst he is there as I know that he is being very well cared for.

Mam initially entered this care home for 4 weeks of respite due to her struggling to live independently. She has always been against ending up in a care home. She has settled in very quickly informing me that the staff are lovely and can’t do enough for her. She feels safe and well cared for. So much so that she has told her social worker that she wishes to stay rather than return home. Due to her own wish and problems living alone, she may get her wish.

Finally! A care home that has provided my son with a safe, happy and beautiful home. What a delight this care home is. The staff are well trained, and their obvious job satisfaction is evident, always willing to keep and ensure their first priority are those they care for. The management takes every effort to ensure that a happy environment is essential. Thank you!

For my first respite stay in a care home I chose Ravendale Hall; I wasn’t disappointed in my choice. The large country home standing in its extensive grounds was what appealed to me. I was warmly welcomed by friendly and happy, supportive carers. Daily entertainment was always on offer if you wanted to take part as many of the residents did. The food was extremely good and catered for a well-balanced diet. You were offered the choice of two lunchtime meals. My room was bright and spacious. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ravendale Hall due to happy and helpful staff along with the cleanliness. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
